ESPN Analyst Louis Riddick Has Telling Comment About The Bears GM Job

ESPN’s Louis Riddick has been linked to several general manager positions in the past. But the main job that fans seem to think suits Riddick is with the Chicago Bears.

During his tenure at ESPN, Riddick has often talked up the Bears franchise. And on Tuesday, he may have made his most endearing pitch yet.

When speaking on all the vacancies around the NFL, Louis Riddick deemed Chicago the “most attractive” destination for prospective GMs.

“That’s what they needed to do,” Riddick said on the Bears firing GM Ryan Pace. “I do believe that that becomes job number one that people would want. I believe that became job number one because of Justin Fields.”

Chicago Bears fans have been lobbying for the team to give Louis Riddick a look when conducting their general manager interviews.

While Justin Fields had a somewhat rocky first season in the NFL, Louis Riddick believes the young QB’s upside makes Chicago a coveted position for any general manager or head coach.

For now, the Bears have not determined if they’ll be hiring a GM to bring in a head coach, or if the team’s ownership will be making all of the decisions. But they have put in interview requests for several GM and head coaching candidates around the league.

So far, the Bears have not shown interest in bringing in Louis Riddick at any capacity.
