Christian McCaffrey’s Quarantine Prom Night With Olivia Culpo Dressed Like He’s In ‘Grease’ Has Him Dropping Down My Draft Boards

If you click through on the post, you can see some of their video from this event and I’ll admit that it’s a very well designed event. But it’s hard to not feel something here when you see Christian McCaffrey fully indulging in pure Instagram-like pandering with his lovely girlfriend in former Miss USA Olivia Culpo. Don’t get me wrong; I love Christian McCaffrey and have owned him in my long-time auction season-long league with high school friends each season he’s been around so far. And even though that love initially began as begrudging respect from McCaffrey destroying my USC alum team when he was at Stanford, I genuinely appreciate the guy and his talents.

But the man’s had a heavy workload the last few years, including over 400 touches last year. He just got paid on a $64 million deal. And now he’s vamping like a boyfriend of Instagram while, pardon the dated reference, dressing like John Travolta playing Danny Zuko in Grease in a “quarantine prom”?

It’s not exactly screaming “Eye of the Tiger” to me like I’d want from a guy who’ll cost $10,000 in Week 1 DFS or half your budget in a season-long auction league. Is it fair to judge a guy becoming a Boyfriends of Instagram type because he’s dating a woman whose aspirational career goal is “influencer?” Maybe not! Would you our I avoid loading up on pomade and leather jackets for whatever function a former Miss USA asks us to take part in? Almost certainly not!

But I expect more of my top running backs. I want him training in the mountaintops choppings logs and running sprints with a grizzly bear like Rocky did as he trained for his fight against Ivan Drago. You can’t stay lean, mean and vicious when you’re making kissy faces for likes so your girlfriend can more effectively sell tummy tea and gummy bears that make hair shinier.
