A Tennessee-Chattanooga assistant football coach has been fired after sending a derogatory tweet about a Georgia politician. Offensive line coach Chris Malone sent a tweet amid the Georgia runoff elections slandering politician and voter rights activist Stacey Abrams. The cruel and insensitive tweet has since been deleted, but you can see screenshots below.

Malone was only in his second year as Chattanooga’s offensive line coach. In other words, it didn’t take him very long to fumble the bag away. It’s hard for me to believe that this is the first time Malone has been called out for insensitive tweets. Things like this usually don’t happen just once. Unfortunately, this time it cost him his job.
The moral of the story here is that the internet is not the place for insensitivity. Whether or not it is years down the line, you will always get caught. There is always room for redemption, however, for now, this is a pretty bad look for Chattanooga Football and former coach Malone.
