Carolina Panthers Disrespect Cam Newton with Trash Twitter Post

Cue the Stephen A. Smith “How could you be so disrespectful?” clip. The Carolina Panthers made this Twitter post today that disrespected Cam Newton beyond comprehension. Take a look at this trash:

This is fucking baffling. These three guys are great and all, but Cam Newton is a top-three player in Carolina Panthers history without question. I get you only have three icons to work with, but none of Julius Peppers, Luke Kuechly or Steve Smith Sr. should feel slighted about being left off this post because Cam Newton, who guided you to your last Super Bowl appearance in 2015 and is your only NFL MVP, must be on here.

The Panthers fucked with their best player of all time by waiting until the last minute to release him when it was obvious they were moving on from him in 2019 so Newton hit the free agent market late. Newton has yet to sign with a NFL team to this point.

If reaction and outrage was what the social team for the Panthers was going for here, then it worked, but unfortunately for Julius Peppers, every comment involves Cam Newton being excluded here.

The reaction to Newton being left off was swift.

Cam Newton took that team to a SuperBowl. The first one since 2004. Broke almost all QB and broke a few RB team records. And on top of that was the only Panther to win MVP. Cam was the best thing that happened to that team and this is how y’all repay him.
