If you know anything about baseball, you know that the Yankees and Red Sox hate each other, but it doesn’t mean you can throw a ball at a player on the field.

Verdugo was held back by teammates after he was hit by a ball.

After the game, Verdugo responded to media and had a few words for the Yankees fan who hit him in the head.

Verdugo says that the fan was in the wrong and that they’re just like them. He was clearly passionate about his response.

The fan was quickly found and escorted out of the park.

Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone shared his thoughts on the whole incident and told fans that “There is zero place for that in this great game.”

Boone is right. There is no place for that in any game.

The Yankees and Red Sox continue their weekend series Sunday night at 7 PM.
