Gunshots Force Players To Help Fans Take Cover At Nationals Park

A scary scene at Nationals Park in Washington as the Nationals and Padres game was suspended in the 6th inning following gunshots heard around the stadium.

Fans and players were forced to take cover as gunshots echoed in the stadium during the 6th inning. The shots were reportedly fired by multiple cars outside of the park and officials were called immediately. Fans were forced to flee from their seats, while some of the players on the field helped fans inside of the dugout and out of their seats to shelter.

As reported by ESPN, three people were injured outside of the stadium.

The game will be resumed at 1:05 on Sunday afternoon.
