A Ben Affleck Movie Had To Shut Down Production For Four Days Because He Refused To Wear A Yankees Hat

Actor Ben Affleck lives and breathes Boston. So when a director wanted him to wear a Yankees hat during a scene in a movie, he should’ve known he was headed for a war.

The stand-off occurred during the production of “Gone Girl”. Director David Fincher revealed the story about how Affleck was supposed to wear the Yankees hat during an airport scene. He then claims that they had to shut down production for four days while they decided what to do when it was clear that Affleck would not wear the hat.

Fincher goes on to bash Affleck, calling the anti-Yankees move ‘unprofessional’.

Honestly, I’m on team Affleck on this one and it isn’t even close. Let the guy wear another hat, who cares. Fincher comes off as a guy that would be a pain to work for. As a Chicagoan, there is negative chance I’m putting on a Cardinals hat and I don’t care how much money you’re paying me.

Also, I saw “Gone Girl”…nothing special. I don’t think Ben Affleck in a Yankees hat would’ve saved the film.
