Tucker Carlson Slams ‘Fascist’ Ron Rivera For Fining Jack Del Rio

While many in and around the NFL were throwing shade as Commanders’ defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio over his comments on the January 6 riots at the Capitol, some media pundits have come out in his defense.

After elaborating on his take that the Capitol Building hearings demonstrated a poor double-standard and referring to the incident as a “dust up”, Commanders head coach Ron Rivera fined Del Rio $1000,000.

Even while most people commended Ron Rivera for the fine, Fox News host Tucker Carlson was quick to stand up for Jack Del Rio.

“Oh, he [Del Rio] thought he had a right to respectfully express himself in the land of the free,” Carlson said via The Spun. “But it turns out, no. Just hours ago, the coach of the Washington Commanders, a fascist moron called Ron Rivera, announced that Jack Del Rio has no right to talk, and he’s being fined $100,000 for doing it. Rivera began by claiming that, quote, ‘Lives were lost on January 6,’ which is a lie.”

Since his comments during the interview, Jack Del Rio hasn’t spoken publicly, but he has issued an apology to social media.

Something tells me we haven’t heard the last of this story…
