Rachel Nichols Under Fire For Question to Chris Paul

ESPN’s NBA reporter Rachel Nichols is back in the news today, this time for a question she posed to Chris Paul during the post NBA finals press conference. If you recall, Nichols came under fire over a hot mic conversation she had where she called out ESPN’s decision to have Maria Taylor host the NBA Finals.

She was removed from any NBA Finals coverage following her remarks:

At this point everyone is ready to pounce on Rachel Nichols no matter what she says.

“We just lost a few minutes ago, you know what I mean?’’ Paul said. “Right now we’re going to process this and figure this out. I think everything else will take care of itself.

“I’ll take some time to think about that, but right now you’re just trying to figure out what you could have done more. It’s tough.

“Great group of guys, hell of a season, but this one is going to hurt for a while. We sort of saw what it takes to get there and hopefully we see what it takes to get past that.’’

Tough night for Chris Paul.

Hopefully he’ll get another crack at it. I’m sure Rachel Nichols will.
