Former Bears Player Olin Kreutz Opens Up On Putting Co-Worker In Chokehold

Former Chicago Bears center Olin Kreutz found himself in a lot of trouble several months ago.

While trying to air a podcast with CHGO, Kreutz got into a feud with co-worker, Adam Hoge, and things escalated quickly.

After the company claimed that Olin Kreutz had Hoge in a chokehold, they released a statement announcing the former player’s firing.

Now, for the first time, Olin Kreutz is speaking out on the incident.

While he admitted that he was wrong, Kreutz claims that he walked away from the company on his own accord.

“I know they came out and said they fired me, but … that was my decision,” Kreutz told the Sun-Times. “And like I told my kids, you do something like that, you pay the penalty. You take the punishment and then you try to become a better person and try to learn from every situation.”

Recently, it was also announced that Olin Kreutz would no longer be working on his role as an analyst on NBC Chicago’s post game show, either.

After the incident occurred, Kreutz took to social media to try to justify his actions.

Olin Kreutz played 11 seasons for the Chicago Bears, making the Pro Bowl six times.

He remains one of the most decorated offensive lineman in team history, but it appears as though he won’t be doing anything pertaining to the team in the future.
