Leonard Fournette’s Weight Gain Revealed Following Reports Bucs Aren’t Happy With Him

The offseason is a time to get in shape, slim down, and get ready for the upcoming season.

It looks like Tampa Bay Bucs running back Leonard Fournette didn’t get the memo. According to a recent report from USA Today, the former fourth-overall pick’s weight-gain has gotten to the point that Tampa’s coaches “are not happy, and that’s an understatement.”

“Coaches were not happy, and that’s an understatement, when (Fournette) didn’t participate in the OTAs, but then he shows up at the mandatory minicamp weighing damn near 260 [pounds],” Stroud said. “And that’s not a good sign for a guy that you’ve just spent a three-year contract on.”

Fournette is now listed at 260lbs.

Apparently Fournette received the message from his coaches, and has been doing the most to get back in shape in time for the season to kick off.

Watch below:

Fournette usually plays around 228lbs, so it’s clear that the weight gain wasn’t about bulking up, but more about not putting in the work.

The man is a running back, every pound matters when it comes to speed.
