Justin Fields Honors Former Bears Writer On Day One Of Training Camp

All eyes are on Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields as he arrived to Training Camp today. And when speaking to reporters, Fields was rocking a shirt that honored someone who passed away recently.

At the end of last year, longtime Chicago media personality Jeff Dickerson passed away, and a local clothing company made a shirt in his honor, with all the proceeds going to the family.

As he sat at the podium at Halas Hall, Justin Fields was rocking the Jeff Dickerson shirt.

When speaking on his expectations for the upcoming season, Justin Fields claimed that he doesn’t feel the need to prove himself to anybody.

“I’m not really worried about showing the league anything. I’m just worried about winning games. I’m not trying to my prove myself to anybody. My job is to win games,” Fields said to reporters.

Unfortunately for Justin Fields, the new regime of GM Ryan Poles and coach Matt Eberflus appear set on building a team from scratch rather than trying to compete right off the bat, so the wins may not be too easy to come by this season.

For Chicago fans, they’re just hoping Fields can take the next step in his development this season.
