Hollywood Brown Reveals Why He Requested Trade Out of Baltimore

Much to the dismay of Lamar Jackson, the Ravens traded away his favorite target.

Hollywood Brown was dealt on draft night, and it elicited some very angry responses from Lamar Jackson. The Ravens made the decision to trade their star receiver to the Arizona Cardinals.

Now we’re finding out that Hollywood was the one to initiate the trade request. Brown spoke I Am Athlete Tonight and revealed that he wanted out because he was not happy with the Ravens’ offensive system. Brown also noted that throughout the years he let Lamar know he wasn’t happy playing in Baltimore.

“Yeah, I asked him for a trade after the season. It was something about my happiness, I talked to Lamar (Jackson) about it after my second year, after my third year leading up to the season he wasn’t playing, I let him know again, I can’t do it. It’s not really on Lamar, I love Lamar, it was just the system wasn’t for me personally, I love all my teammates, I love all the guys, but it was something I had to think about for myself”

See Hollywood explain below:

The mystery here is why did Lamar act like he was blindsided if in fact he knew Hollywood wanted out.

Something’s not adding up.
