Brian Robinson Shooting: More Details Emerge on Where Washington Commanders Rookie Was Shot

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brain Robinson was the victim of a scary situation when it was revealed that he was hospitalized with a gun-shot wound following a car-jacking attempt over the weekend.

On Monday, Robinson was in good spirits and was able to leave the hospital, and it appears as though he got lucky with where the bullet hit.

According to reports, Robinson was hit in the knee, but the bullet missed all the ligaments in that area.

“Apparently [the bullet] missed all of the major parts of the knee–ligaments, tendons, bones,” NFL insider Mike Garafolo said on NFL Network.

On Monday, Commanders head coach Ron Rivera gave an encouraging update on the injuries Brian Robinson sustained from the shooting.

“I just got done visiting w/Brian. He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers & support. He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best,” he said.

On Tuesday, the Commanders opted to leave Robinson on their active, 52 man roster . And didn’t place him on the non-football injury list, either — meaning they’re likely expecting a quick return for the rookie back.

As it stands, Robinson is currently behind Antonio Gibson and JD McKissic on the Commanders’ depth chart. But the third round draft pick is expected to get plenty of looks in the offense.

Luckily, it seems like Brian Robinson will be making a quick recovery after the scary situation over the weekend.
