Joel Embiid Asks What More He Has to Do To Win MVP

Joel Embiid wants to know.

The Sixers big man put the Sixers in his backpack and dragged his team to another big win, with another MVP-level performance pushing them to a 112-108 victory over the Cavs on Sunday.

Following the game Embiid says he doesn’t know what else he has to do to win the MVP award this season after dropping 44 points in a 112-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.

“If it happens, great. If it doesn’t, I don’t know what I have to do. I’ll feel like they hate me. I feel like the standard for guys in Philly or for me is different than anyone else,” Embiid told the media on Sunday night.

Embiid has 11 games with at least 40 points and 10 rebounds this season. Only Russell Westbrook  and Moses Malone have had more in a single season since the 1976-77 merger. Both players won MVPs in those seasons.

Embiid, 28, is averaging 30.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season.

Give this man the MVP.
