New Surprising Team Enters The Sweepstakes For A Donovan Mitchell Trade

To this point, it feels like the Donovan Mitchell sweepstakes really only involves two teams: the Heat and Knicks.

Even so, the Knicks have been reported as the heavy favorite to land the Jazz point guard since it was revealed that Utah was listening to offers last week.

However, Shams Charania reported today that the Sacramento kings were now showing interest in trading for Donovan Mitchell.

The Kings clearly have dreams of pairing Donovan Mitchel with fellow rising star, De’Aaron Fox, but they’re still a long shot to land the point guard.

Just last week, the Kings were way down the list at +5000 to land Mitchell, but perhaps that number will be on the rise when sports books update the odds next.

Either way, dark horse teams are starting to ponder whether or not they can afford Donovan Mitchell now that he still remains in Utah following last week’s rumors.
