Mets Pitcher Chris Bassitt Accused Of Having Illegal Substance On Neck

New York Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt was the subject of some controversy on Monday night.

While making his start against the Braves, Bassitt appeared to have something on the side of his neck. Either that, or he suffered some sort of weird rash in one spot.

Cameras caught the image of Chris Bassitt’s neck as the game went on.

Fans immediately accused Chris Bassitt of using a foreign substance.

Chris Bassitt has been one of the more vocal critics of the baseballs MLB has been using this year.

Specifically, Bassitt said that he doesn’t think each ball is built the same.

“The MLB has a very big problem with the baseballs — they are bad,” Bassitt said after his team’s 3-0 victory over the Cardinals last week. “Everyone knows it. Every pitcher in the league knows it. MLB doesn’t give a damn about it. They don’t care. We have told them our problems with them, they don’t care.”

Luckily for the Mets and Chris Bassitt, the umpires didn’t seem to notice the whole neck situation on Monday night.

We’ll see if anything comes of it.
