Charles Barkley Reportedly Considering Leaving TNT For LIV Golf

Could Charles Barkley be the next star headed to LIV Golf?

This week, Barkley created a stir when he admitted that he was meeting with the Saudi-backed golf organization about potentially jumping on as a broadcaster.

“I’m gonna meet with LIV,” Barkley said via The Spun. “Truth — to always be transparent and honest. They called me and asked me would I meet with them. And I said yes.”

Dan Patrick pointed out that Charles Barkley would inevitably have to leave his post as a basketball announcer with TNT if he were to take the position with LIV Golf

"Charles Barkley is the most valuable announcer in sports media. He is meeting with LIV Wednesday night. He knows he may have to leave TNT if he goes to LIV."

Charles Barkley has created quite the entertaining show with Shaq on “Inside The NBA” on TNT. But he has indicated in the past that he would look for another opportunity at some point.

Getting Barkley would undoubtedly make the LIV Golf broadcasts more entertaining, and perhaps be a bigger deal for the organization then even bringing in a top golfer.

It sure looks like LIV Golf is prepared to offer Charles Barkley an insanely large contract. And it would be hard to see him turning them down right now.
