Carlos Rodon’s Wife Calls Out MLB Following All-Star Game Snub

The MLB All-Star game is serious stuff.

Wife of Giants pitcher Carlos Rodon, Ashley Rodon, blasted the MLB All-Star voting following her husband getting the All-star snub. Ashley Rodon took to Twitter to voice her displeasure with the All-Star voting process. She fired off a few posts showing why her husband should’ve been on the roster.

She also RT’d a bunch of posts.

“Rodón leads all NL starting pitchers with 3.7 fWAR. His 11.16 K/9 ranks second. Only MKE’s Corbin Burnes and MIA’s Sandy Alcantara have generated more swings and misses, and only Burnes has struck out more batters. Nobody has allowed fewer home runs per 9 innings.”#AllStarSnub

Carlos Rodón, who leads NL pitchers in FIP and WAR and is second in strikeouts, didn't make the All-Star team.

A fan vote is just one part of the process when deciding which All-Stars are selected. Unfortunately this leaves some MLB’s top players out of the Mid-Summer Classic. Rodon was also pissed about his former teammate not making the squad.

Carlos Rodón said an All-Star snub hurts more for guys who haven’t received the honor in the past. He seemed more bothered that his former White Sox teammate, Dylan Cease, was left off. “He put together a first half better than a lot of guys on that list.”
