Coming into the season as a top candidate for the AL MVP, Vladdy hasn’t disappointed out of the gates. And on Wednesday, he carried his Blue Jays to victory.

After the performance, Vladimir Guerrero couldn’t help but log on social media to hype up the efforts of his son.

“Kid is on fire,” Vlad tweeted along with some “fire” emojis.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has had a dominant first week of the MLB season.

He’s currently slashing a ridiculous .391/.417/.957 with four home runs and eight RBIs. His Blue Jays are looking every bit of the offensive juggernaut we expected them to be, too.

This afternoon, Vladdy and the Jays will play the final game of their series in the Bronx — where he’ll look to put an exclamation point on an absurd stretch.
