Deshaun Watson may have sat out the entire 2021-22 NFL season while he fended off legal issues. But that doesn’t mean he’s willing to play just anywhere next season.
After it was announced that the criminal case against him was dropped last week, many teams have shown reported interest in the star quarterback. But according to Texans reporter John McClain, Watson only plans to suit up with two potential trade partners for the Texans: the Saints and Panthers.
“He’s rejected everybody but Carolina and New Orleans.”

It was also reported that Deshaun Watson had declined to speak with the Seahawks and Colts.
I was told the Seattle Seahawks do not have any plans to meet with Deshaun Watson as of now.

For now, it appears that the only two teams with a real shot of landing Deshaun Watson are the Saints and Panthers. But a dark horse team could still potentially get into the sweepstakes.
Regardless, I’d expect a trade to come to fruition rather quickly given that free agency already began on Monday morning.
We’ll continue to track any updates on the Deshaun Watson trade situation.
