Le’Veon Bell Releases Statement After Being Waived By The Ravens

The Le’Veon Bell experiment with the Baltimore Ravens didn’t go all too well.

The veteran running back was signed following the injury to Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins. But after the team also added Devonta Freeman and Latavius Murray, Bell found himself as the odd man out of the rotation.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the Ravens were officially waiving Le’Veon Bell.

Even before the news was announced by insiders, Le’Veon Bell sent out a statement. While he was critical of the way he was used in the jets and Chiefs offenses prior to joining Baltimore, Bell had nothing but nice things to say about John Harbaugh and the Ravens organization.

“this hurts, but it’s been a blessing to be here to say the least, i’ve enjoyed every second of this short period & gotta whole new meaning of what this city is like & it’s a great place to be  I appreciate Eric Decasta & John Harbaugh for the opportunity to be called an Raven,” Bell wrote on his Twitter.

During his time with the Ravens, Le’Veon Bell showed this may be the end of his run.

Over five games played, Le’Veon had just 31 rushes for 83 yards but was able to find the end zone on two occasions.

The former speedster will now hit the open market. And it’ll be interesting to see if another team gives Le’Veon Bell a chance to play on Sundays again.
