Is Lions RB D’ Andre Swift a Murder Suspect? Fans on Twitter are Losing Their Minds

Detroit Lions running back D’Andre Swift is trending right before the start of the NFL season for all the wrong reasons. Three words sum it all up “D’Andre Swift Murder.” That’s what is lighting up Twitter and Google searches at the moment.

According to reports, Swift was linked to a murder by an anonymous tip to the Philadelphia police. So far, he is not being investigated.

I just called the Philly PD and spoke with an officer in the Commissioner's Office.

There was an anonymous tip that came in via Tipline over 2 months ago that implicated D'Andre Swift in a murder. The officer said that Swift is not being investigated at this time.

Is D’Andre Swift the new OJ Simpson?

Probably not, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled to see if there is any legitimacy to these wild murder rumors.

If I had to guess, I’d say this is just one of those Reddit/Twitter things that picks up some steam for a day or two before fizzling out.

D’Andre Swift’s Fantasy status is not in question for Sunday.
