Zach Wison’s mom, Lisa, has dominated headlines ever since Zach was selected by the New York Jets with the second overall pick.

After her social media presence grew, Lisa Wilson made the big mistake of sharing her thoughts on current events and politics with her followers. Lisa slammed Disney World for their mask policy, and would also defend her choice to support former president Donald Trump.

Zach Wilson was asked about all the attention his mom has been getting since the draft.

” Yeah, it’s not my favorite for sure,” Wilson said during an appearance on WFAN. ” I like to keep her out of the spotlight. She’s an awesome lady and I love having her support.”

Lisa Wilson would go on to write a lengthy post on Instagram (before changing it to private) on how all the hate she has been receiving is really taking its toll. She would blame the New York media for painting her in a negative light.

While Zach Wilson has yet to even take a snap for the New York Jets, it looks like he might have an unexpected problem on his hands with all the added attention his mom is receiving.
