Los Angeles Rams defensive superstar, Aaron Donald, was one of the biggest storylines heading into Super Bowl week. But it was reported that it was possible Super Bowl 56 would be his last game, Donald dominated headlines even more.
NBC’s Rodney Harrison dropped the bomb when he declared right before the Super Bowl that it could be Donald’s last game.
“If he wins a SuperBowl, there’s a strong possibility that he could walk away from the game and retire,” Harrison said.

After the game, fellow defensive lineman, Von Miller, spoke on the possibility that Aaron Donald could retire now that he’s a Super Bowl Champion.
“I don’t know, man. He’s done everything you can possibly do,” Miller said of Donald, via NBC Sports Edge. “But this feeling here, there’s nothing like it. It’s addictive. Once you feel this — coming to the Super Bowl is one thing. But winning it is different. And we’ll just have to see.
“He’s done so much. But I’ll tell you, this feeling is great. It just makes you want it more and more and more. But he’s definitely capped off a great career, if he chooses to do that. But this is an addictive feeling and I can’t see him walking away from this.”

Von Miller is likely right about Aaron Donald.
While I’m sure there’s some merit to the notion that Donald could be considering his future with his family now that he’s reached the pinnacle of the sport, I don’t see him ultimately deciding to hang em’ up just yet.
Even though Steelers’ edge rusher TJ Watt. was named Defensive Player of the Year this season, Aaron Donald is still widely considered the best defender in football.
If the Rams want to be the first team since the Patriots to win back-to-back Super Bowls, they’ll likely need their superstar interior lineman to return next season.
