Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets had the tall task of going up against the Mavericks without Kyrie Irving last night (thanks to the highly-controversial NYC mandate).
To the surprise of no one, the game was close down the stretch. And during an inbound play in the second half, a fan close to courtside tried to let KD know that it was his time to “take over”.
But Durant didn’t take too kindly to the fan, quickly snapping at him to sit back down in his seat.

According to the NY Post, Kevin Durant will likely be fined by the NBA for cursing at the fan.
He would go on to drop 23 points in the Nets’ 113-111 loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday night. But for Brooklyn fans, they’ll be more concerned about their best players’ health after seeing him go down and clutch at his foot briefly in the third quarter.
“If you’ve all had a stubbed toenail, that just stings. Every time I stub my toenail I remember exactly where I was. That was one of those ones that just stung for a couple of minutes,” said Durant. “[Maxi] Kleber just like, I was running fast as s–t and he just stopped right in front of me. My toe nail just hit the tip of my shoe.”
It seems like Kevin Durant will be just fine to continue to talk his trash the next time the Nets take the floor.
