Tom Brady Says He Doesn’t Quite Remember Throwing Lombardi Trophy During Super Bowl Boat Parade

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady received a whole lot of attention when he threw the Lombardi Trophy across water to another boat during the team’s Super Bowl boat parade. Luckily for Brady, sure-handed tight end Cameron Brate was on the receiving end of the trophy, and made the catch.

Tom Brady received some backlash from Lorraine Grohs, the daughter of the man who crafted the Lombardi Trophy. Grohs even said that she ‘couldn’t sleep‘ after seeing Brady throw the trophy.

Brady is finally explaining what was going through his head when he decided to fling the trophy. He claims he doesn’t remember it all too well.

I don’t remember that quite as well!” Brady said with a laugh during an interview with James Corden on the Late, Late Show on Tuesday.

What Brady does remember is that his eight-year-old daughter knew it wasn’t the best idea for her dad to toss such an expensive piece of metal.

“That’s my little 8-year-old daughter [Vivi],” Brady said of the voice yelling “no!” as the video was played back for him. “Who could imagine that an 8-year-old girl would have the most sense of anybody in that whole area? I mean, she’s the voice of reason. Go figure.”

Let’s be real here, this is Tom Brady we’re talking about. If anyones going to sink the Lombardi Trophy, it wouldn’t be the GOAT.
