Brett Favre was one of John Madden’s absolute favorites.
The NFL lost legendary former head coach and broadcaster John Madden this week.
Brett Favre also loved him some Madden. One of his biggest fans and friends was the former Green Bay Packers star, who had this reaction to his passing.

Madden was the color commentator with Pat Summerall for Brett Favre’s Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI.
Favre threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns in that game.
Madden was a 16-time Emmy Award winner.
The NFL legend was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
