Loyola-Chicago team chaplain Sister Jean has seen a lot over the past few years as it pertains to the team’s success. Now, think of just how much crazy sh*t she’s seen over the course of her entire life.

A crazy tidbit was revealed about the day the 101-year old Sister Jean was born that may shock some people out there.
“The day Sister Jean was born — August 21, 1919 — Babe Ruth tripled and drove in 2 runs batting cleanup. For the Red Sox,” ESPN’s Paul Hembekides tweeted.

The craziest part about Sister jean is that she still has her wits about her even at her old age. Prior to Loyola’s upset win against Illinois, she gave the team a handwritten prayer, that really felt more like a blueprint for beating the Illini.
“As we play the Fighting Illini, we ask for special help to overcome this team and get a great win,” she said. “We hope to score early and make our opponents nervous. We have a great opportunity to convert rebounds as this team makes about 50% of layups and 30% of its 3 points. Our defense can take care of that.”
Sister Jean definitely would’ve been smart enough to know trading Babe Ruth was a bad idea. She’ll remain in Indy for Loyola’s Sweet 16 matchup against Oregon State.
