With the goal, the Hurricanes capped a comeback from down 3-1 in the game, and took the series, winning four games to two.

The celebration was subtle for the Hurricanes in the locker room after the game, but coach Rod Brind’Amour had a wholesome moment.

During his postgame speech, Brind’Amour had his father on the phone. He described to his team that his dad had been dealing with some health issues, and he’s getting a lot of joy cheering on the Canes. He also revealed that it was his fathers’ birthday.

After that, the team took over, and sang happy birthday to their coach’s dad.

The Carolina Hurricanes look to be a tight-knit group that believes they have a chance to win the Stanley Cup this season.

They have star power, grit, and are well-coached.

The Hurricanes will now play the role of the underdog against the Stanley Cup favorite Tampa Bay Lightning in what should be a hell of a series.
