The Champions League Draw Has Thrown Up A Number Of Interesting Battles

The UEFA Champions League Round 16 draw on Monday did throw up a lot of interesting ties. As you would expect.

So it’s shaping up to be quite an exciting Champions League season after all. It’s even onerous task trying to predict an outright winner at the moment.

Manchester United somehow, managed to get themselves out of this draw and I’m not happy. But I digress.

Leo Messi and Barcelona will have to find themselves a way past last season’s runner-ups PSG, and I think they can.

Let’s hope Liverpool’s front three are very much in the mood. If not, Amadou Haidara and Daniel Olmo are capable of squeezing in a couple when you least suspect them to.

At some point, Atalanta will be a threat for this Real Madrid. Sevilla had better stick with Europa because they know how to play there.

And Bayern (it could get messy for Lazio particularly), Juventus and Manchester City all got themselves easy ties, or so it seems.

It’s really getting interesting, this season’s Champions League, isn’t it?
