Arsenal And Manchester City Unite In Solidarity For Breast Cancer Victim Jen Beattie

Arsenal Women defender Jen Beattie is definitely getting a lot of backing following her devastating breast cancer diagnosis.

Before Arsenal and Manchester City traded tackles in their Women’s Super League meeting on Sunday afternoon, the players from both sides took to the field, donning warm-up shirts with ‘Beattie’ on the back in a move of solidarity.

Beattie was diagnosed with breast cancer in October but have now surgically removed the lump.

She is expected to kickstart her radiotherapy in the coming weeks.

However, the 29-year-old is already working towards creating awareness for young breast cancer carriers in a bid to have more women checked.

Well played, this. Mandy Hale wrote and I quote: There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way
to make life beautiful for others.

And the gesture from these two sides really is. There’s nothing sweeter than having rivals put aside rivalry to rally around for a distressed fellow, and I really mean that nothing, absolutely nothing beats it.

If this right here is not class, I don’t know what else it is.
