Stephen A. Smith Lost His Mind After Max Kellerman Said Trae Young Could Be Better Than Steph Curry

The NBA Playoffs have to be Stephen A. Smith’s favorite time of the year. At least, it has to be his most relevant.

Stephen A made his way through the sports media scene with basketball being his primary area of expertise, and he isn’t going to let Max Kellerman’s BS fly. Especially not when Kellerman insinuated that Trae Young could be better than Steph Curry.

Check out Stephen A. Smith’s fiery response to Kellerman saying Trae Young has a higher ceiling than Steph Curry.

“You do have this knack for just annoying the living hell out of me,” Smith told Kellerman. “To the point where I’m really going to have a conversation with the bosses about I think I need to get paid more for having to talk basketball with you.”

It’s actually not the stupidest thing that Max Kellerman has ever said. I think the cool and trendy thing to say right now is that the moon is the ceiling for Trae Young. After all, the point guard has absolutely dominated the NBA Playoffs, and has the underdog Atlanta Hawks three wins away for the NBA Finals.

With that being said, I’m with Stephen A. Smith here. While Trae Young is destined to have a superstar career, I don’t necessarily think it’s time to put him in the same sentence as Steph Curry.

Young has taken advantage of a lackluster Eastern Conference. Curry, on the other hand, is already the best three point shooter of all time, built a dynasty with the Warriors, and has consistently been one of the most dynamic scorers in the NBA.

Due to Trae Young’s style of play, I’m sure he’ll be compared to Steph Curry for the rest of his career. This likely isn’t the end of this debate between Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman.
