Sha’Carri Richardson on TODAY Show to Discuss Positive Drug Test

Running superstar Sha’Carri Richardson may possibly miss the Olympics following a positive drug test for marijuana. Richardson was expected to compete for a gold medal in Tokyo. A very humbled, disappointed Richardson showed up on The TODAY Show this morning to discuss the breaking news. Richardson basically told Savannah Guthrie she was dealing with some stuff, but wasn’t going to make excuses for her testing positive for marijuana.

As Guthrie pointed out, Richardson failed her drug test in Oregon, where marijuana is legal. The problem is the World Anti-Doping Agency says she’s not allowed to have THC in her system.

Rules are rules, and as dumb as they are, she’s going to regret smoking that weed.

She should have listened to Stephen A.
