Sean Payton Shares Statement Following Drew Brees Retirement

The day had to come, and no one will feel the loss of Drew Brees more than his head coach, Sean Payton. Following Brees’ announcement, Sean Payton released a statement through the New Orleans Saints thanking Brees for everything he’d done for the team, the community, and for him personally. You can totally tell Payton is going to miss being on the field with his guy.

While Drew did amazing things on the field, he was also a really good dude off the field. He is a Walter Payton Man of the Year recipient, and is constantly giving back:

The donation will support the creation of community health centers in Louisiana.
