Pelicans Don’t Mention Zion Williamson In Season Ticket Email To Fans

It’s really starting to look like Zion Williamson’s time with the New Orleans Pelicans is coming to an end.

Earlier in the week, newly-acquired guard, CJ McCollum, revealed that Zion hadn’t even reached out to welcome him to the team after the deal went official.

“I haven’t had conversations with him directly,” McCollum said. “I’ve spoken with some people close to him and look forward to sitting down with him sooner than later. I know about as much as you do right now, but I’m gonna get to the bottom of it.”

This week, the Pelicans sent out an email to season-ticket holders and other fans about their 2022-23 game plans and ticket offers. In the email, they included several of their players to sweeten the deal… Zion Williamson was not included.

Zion Williamson recently had a setback in the foot injury that has kept him sidelined for the duration of this season. And it appears as though he’ll likely be shut down in the near future.

Since joining the Pelicans, the team has struggled to keep him invested, manage his weight, and keep the center healthy enough to play in their games.

For now, it looks like both Zion Williamson and the Pelicans are preparing for the likelihood that their marriage is coming to an end.
