Ryan Clark Makes Ridiculous Comments About Derrick Henry On First Take

First Take is known for their overreactions, and bad takes. Apparently Ryan Clark got that memo before he went on the show today and talked about Titans running back Derrick Henry.

Here’s the clip.

“In all of Derrick Henry’s highlight, when have you ever seen him stiff arm, or run over anyone that’s close to his size, ” Clark says in the clip. “Never,” he answers.

“When he’s in that mess and them boys are the same size, he don’t run the same. He has late bravery,” Clark goes on to say.

Clark even doubles down later in the clip and says he can’t do what he does against the T.J Watt’s or Bud Dupree. Ryan Clark claims that Derrick Henry waits until he gets to the secondary before he can run like a beast.

Now, I get it. Ryan Clark is an ex-Steeler. I’m sure he’s pulling heavily for the Steelers against Derrick Henry’s Titans on Sunday. But, now you’ve dissed Derrick Henry. Now you’ve dissed one of the best running backs in the NFL.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Henry has an answer for Clark on Sunday. Watch out, you don’t want to get under Derrick Henry’s skin.

Clark would later clarify his comments on twitter.

I don’t know, I’ve watched Derrick Henry play a lot of football, and I have never questioned his motor. Front 7, secondary, I don’t care. When this guy takes the ball he runs with his hair on fire.

We’ll see. Maybe Ryan Clark is on to something here. We’ll find out on Sunday. It should be one hell of a matchup between the undefeated Steelers and the undefeated Titans.
