Alvin Kamara Reacts to NFL’s Likely 17-Game Schedule

Some players aren’t so keen on the extra game they’re going to have to play. NFL Owners are scheduled to decide on whether to approve the expansion during their virtual league meetings Tuesday and Wednesday. New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is not a fan, and shared his opinion following Adam Schefter’s tweet that the league is planning to expand after going with a 16-game regular season since 1978.

“S— dumb… as hell,” Kamara tweeted.

Other players to weigh in included Green Bay Packers safety Adrian Amos, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay and Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan.

Owners were granted the right to expand to 17 games as part of last year’s collective bargaining agreement with players. With so many injuries happening during a 16 game schedule, not sure how players are going to stay healthy for a 17 game season.

Money trumps all.
