Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is just one hell of a teammate, and he showed why on Sunday.
The Seahawks were winding down the clock during a 26-23 victory over the rival 49ers on Sunday when Wilson realized something, and had to call an audible. Receiver David Moore was stuck at 34 catches on the season, and needed just one more to get a $100,000 bonus. So, instead of kneeling down with 21 seconds left, Wilson threw a touch pass to Moore to make sure he’d get his money.
Despite Seahawk coaches calling a kneel down to run out the clock yesterday, Russell Wilson changed the play in the huddle — throwing a pop pass to WR David Moore instead.
Why?
The catch landed Moore a $100,000 bonus.

I think the best part of this video is Pete Carroll’s reaction. He’s clearly confused and a little shocked by Russell Wilson’s decision to audible out of the kneel down, and when he realizes the reasoning, he starts laughing on the sidelines. Wilson confirmed he made the audible to get David Moore his bonus.
“It’s a blessing to be able to help his family and his daughter and all of that stuff,” Wilson said after the game via Yahoo Sports.
Wilson also said that QB coach Austin Davis was part of the plan.
“Austin actually said, ‘Hey, let’s get it done; let’s get it done,’’’ Wilson said, according to the Seattle Times. “… So when we ended up calling it and I said, ‘Dave you’re going to get the ball right here, here we go,’ kind of winked at him. So that was pretty cool.’’
David Moore is only making $825,000 this year, so this $100,000 could actually be pretty significant for the guy.
Once again, Russell Wilson proved why he’s the best.
