Rory Mcllroy Lets Out His Frustration And Becomes The Most Relatable Golf Player On The PGA Tour

Three rounds of golf are in the books at the RBC Heritage and it’s been quite the race. World number one golfer Rory McIlroy is heading into the final round at ten under par, but it hasn’t been without a few hiccups.

McIlroy’s golf game is at a level that not many amateurs, or even professionals, can relate to, but this one had to have put a smile on the face of a lot of people watching from home. I mean, if you have never shanked a drive and let out a not so subtle F-bomb have you ever even golfed? McIlroy carded six birdies, with four of them on the back nine, but I have a feeling that this is the shot that the people are going to remember.

The coronavirus woes clearly did not have a big impact on the level of competition, as twenty-eight are headed into the last day of golf at RBC Heritage at an impressive -10 or better. McIlroy followed up a score of 65 in round 2 with a 66 in round 3 to put him within striking distance of the lead heading into the last day of golf. Four players share the lead at -15 after round 3, with 17 within three strokes of the lead heading into the last round of the tournament.

It looks nearly impossible for McIlroy to come out on the other side of this one with a win, but it is not completely out of the realm of possibility. That being said, he is still in a great position to make a deep push in the last round on Sunday. With the leaderboard as compact as it is right now, it is likely that whichever golfer makes the most putts will be the one to escape with the win. McIlroy may not be able to add another first-place finish to his resume, but maybe he will drop a couple more F-bombs and make us all feel less like amateurs.
