Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Donates $100K to Boston Uncornered in Honor of Devin McCourty, Takes a Jab at Tom Brady

Owner Robert Kraft joined Patriots safety Devin McCourty for a virtual fundraiser to announce a $100,000 donation to Boston Uncornered.

Last night, Boston Uncornered, a community initiative aimed at steering adolescents away from gangs and toward colleges, honored McCourty as their “Uncornered Champion” during a virtual fundraiser. The fundraiser included congratulatory messages from many current and former Patriots players, including Tom Brady. Brady spoke in great detail about his relationship with and admiration for McCourty.

Shortly after Brady’s message went live, Kraft joined McCourty and host Andrea Kremer to announce his $100,000 donation to Boston Uncornered and took a not-so-subtle jab at Brady, former Patriots quarterback and current quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“You could even see that fellow — I forget his name — who used to play quarterback who left, he really wishes he was still with you,” Kraft said, jokingly. “I could hear it in his voice. But whatever happens happens.”

This wasn’t the only L Brady took yesterday as former Patriots linebacker and current Titans head coach Mike Vrabel appeared on NBC Sports Boston’s “The Camera Guys” and roasted Brady for his poor golf outing in The Match.

Let’s not forget that Brady did hit what was debatably the best shot of The Match — a birdie from well over 100 feet — but outside of that, his performance was somewhat of a debacle. Brady is really getting bodied by his ex-teammates and if it weren’t for his reunion with former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in Tampa I might be getting concerned about his well being.

But I guess when you’re a six-time Super Bowl champion and four-time Super Bowl MVP, you don’t really lose sleep over things like this.
