Rich Bisaccia Had An Awesome Gesture For Raiders Players After The Wild Card Loss

Rich Bisaccia had been an assistant coach in the NFL for 20 years before getting an opportunity to be a head coach. And while the veteran coach may not have gotten the Raiders gig the way he wanted, he certainly took advantage of the opportunity.

Despite a year filled with unprecedented turmoil off the field, Bisaccia kept the Raiders steady, and took the team to the playoff for the first time in the Derek Carr era. Unfortunately, that trip was short-lived, but it’s hard to imagine anyone could have gotten more out of the team than Bisaccia.

After the loss to the Bengals, Rich Bisaccia had an awesome gesture for his players to show his gratitude. He was pictured writing personalized notes for every player on the team to thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.

It’s unclear if the Raiders will remove the interim tag on Rich Bisaccia, or if they’ll let him go. But the team opted to fire general manager, Mike Mayock – which likely doesn’t bode well for Bisaccia’s chances to stick around.

However, Derek Carr lobbied for Bisaccia to get the gig during his post game presser. And I’m sure he wasn’t the only player in the Veags locker room who stuck their neck out for the interim coach.

Rich Bisaccia’s future may be up in the air. But regardless of what’s next for the NFL lifer, he’ll have the utmost respect from people in and around the NFL for the job he was able to do with the Raiders this season.
