Players And Fans Have Already Began Trying To Lure Von Miller After It Was Reported That Denver “Likely” Won’t Pick Up His Option

Von Miller has had an incredible run with the Denver Broncos.

The pass-rusher has been one of the most dominant players in the league for many years now, and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2016. While he’ll always be held in high regard in Denver, it might be time to say goodbye.

It was reported on Wednesday that Denver was “likely” to decline Von Miller’s $18 Million option for the 2021-22 season.

After this report hit the web, fans immediately swarmed social media to express their hope that Von Miller will join their team.

It was already weird to picture J.J. Watt in anything but a Houston Texans uniform, and now it looks like Von Miller will be on the move, as well. I guess this is just the year for veteran pass rushers to hit free agency.

Von Miller may not be in his prime anymore, but he’s a more than serviceable option for any team looking to beef up their defensive line. However, any team would be taking on a risk if they went after Miller. He missed the entire 2020 season with an ankle injury after recording eight sacks in 2019.

Von Miller will also be rather expensive. Due to the pedigree, I doubt he’ll be taking any sort of pay cuts at this point of his career. It’ll be interesting to see what the market ends up being for Von Miller.
