New York Mets Fans Are Now Calling For Luis Rojas’s Head In A Year That Feels Just About Over

Luis Rojas might just be the most unpopular man in Queens these days. And what transpired on Wednesday night isn’t going to help the matter.

In the seventh inning of the team’s game against the first place Giants, Rojas made the decision to remove starting pitcher Taijuan Walker from the game with less than 80 pitches thrown.

When the relief pitch proceeded to chalk up the team’s lead, the “fire Rojas” chants echoed through the stadium as the Walker threw a tantrum in the dugout.

More Mets fans swarmed social media to share in with Taijuan Walker and the disgust for manager Luis Rojas.

Luis Rojas’s Mets are fully imploding after being in comfortable position in the NL East at the Trade Deadline. They now sit 6.5 games back of the Braves for the first place spot.

The Mets’ collapse was so sudden and stark that everyone in Queens is now lashing out against the entire organization. And Rojas will be at the top of that list.

There’s no telling if Steve Cohen and the Mets’ brass will actually pull the plug on Luis Rojas if the Mets continue their slide and fail to make the playoffs. But if they do keep the skipper around, they might just have a full-blown riot on their hands in New York.
