Montez Sweat Shares Ridiculous Opinion On The COVID Vaccine

Montez Sweat has become the latest professional athlete to share skeptical feelings on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera thought he’d bring in a medical expert to talk to his team about the pros of the vaccine with all the misinformation out there on the web.

“There’s a lot of messaging out there that they get off Twitter, and some of it’s good and some of it’s bad,” Rivera said via Pro Football Talk.

While it seems like a good idea in theory, defensive end Montez Sweat was quick to say that he was ‘not a fan’ of his coach’s move.

I’m not a fan of it at all. . . . I won’t get vaccinated until I get more facts.”

Yes, Montez Sweat is right. Everybody has a right to their opinion, and nobody HAS to get the COVID vaccine. However, people also have a right to ridicule that opinion, which is what plenty of people have to with Sweat’s comments.

Not only do Montez Sweat’s comments make no sense whatsoever, but they’re also just hard to fathom. If you don’t think the vaccine is safe or effective, that’s one thing. But to say there’s no reason to treat COVID before you get it just sounds asinine.

For a lot of people over the past year-plus, it was too late to treat their COVID-19 once they got it. That’s the whole point of getting the shot.

Anyways, Montez Sweat is entitled to his opinion…it just doesn’t happen to be a very good one.
