MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WMTV) — Prosecutors say a Milwaukee man has admitted to causing more than $40,000 in damage to Miller Park amid protests and rioting on June 2.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday, 40-year-old Keyon Lambert broke into the Brewers’ baseball stadium and got into a tractor, which he used to tear up the turf and dig holes in an attempt to “write his name in cursive with the tractor tires.”
The incident began when a security guard found Lambert yelling inside the stadium, running down the levels of seats and at one point patting his body and saying that “I got a piece for you.” The security guard told prosecutors that indicated to him that Lambert might be armed with a gun, according to the complaint.
A field manager recounted that while Lambert was driving the tractor, he was yelling “Black Lives Matter” and that “We’re gonna burn this f—– down tonight,” the complaint states.
Lambert eventually got out of the tractor, walked off the field and left the stadium. Police officers then detained Lambert.

This one’s kind of on Miller Park security here. Amid the most widespread looting and rioting this nation has seen in at least half a decade, Mr. Lambert was said to have simply entered the stadium through doors that were left open. I mean, this is sort of you get what you deserve type of deal. Somebody fucked up big time here by not, you know, locking the doors when the city of Milwaukee was likely burning down.
According to Lambert, this was the first time he has driven a tractor with a bucket. The tractor was reportedly “too slow” to write his name in cursive with the tractor tires so that’s why he messed up the field. I can’t write normally in cursive so I can only imagine how difficult it would be with a tractor.
The grounds crew was present during the incident, hence why the doors were likely left unlocked, and they filmed Lambert on the tractor until police arrived. I guess Lambert was going to just right his name in normal writing instead of cursive until he noticed the grounds crew filming him because the article says that he decided to “show off for cameras.”
Lambert was arrested on charges of criminal damage to property and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. The Brewers described the damage as “minor.”
Sadly, this is probably the most activity we will see at a Major League Baseball park all year.
