Matt Ryan’s wife, Sarah Ryan, has gotten comfortable in the Atlanta community. But for the first time since the quarterback was drafted, the couple will be moving elsewhere.
It was announced on Monday afternoon that the Colts were acquiring the veteran quarterback — with the Falcons signing Marcus Mariota to fill the void shortly thereafter.
While Matt Ryan will likely be happy to be moving to a team who’s more so in “win now” mode than the Falcons, he’ll still have fond memories from all of his years in Atlanta.
And when the team posted a farewell video to the QB, Sarah Ryan took to social media to send her love to the Atlanta community.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying. Forever thankful for this team, fan base and city,” she wrote in response to the video.

Matt Ryan has yet to react to the Colts trade, but we’re expecting him to drop a lengthy post in gratitude any time now.

Despite the somewhat rocky ending, something tells me Matt Ryan wanted no part of the Falcons’ rebuild when push came to shove.
And even though Ryan and his wife will have a bunch of memories to take with them to Indy, they’ll likely embrace the challenge in front of them.
Who knows, maybe Matt Ryan will even have on last playoff run in him before its all said-and-done.
