Lionel Messi was way to due.

Since joining PSG, Messi had yet to find the back of the net. But that changed in terrific fashion on Tuesday afternoon.

During PSG’s Champions League game against Manchester City, Lionel Messi received a pass towards the outside of the box, and promptly buried into the top right corner to give his team a 2-0 lead.

Lionel Messi’s PSG squad will take the impressive with against Manchester City with a lot of the credit going to their newest star.

Shortly before the match, Man City manager Pep Guardiola admitted that he didn’t have too many answers on how to stop a PSG team with Messi in the mix.

“I don’t know,” Guardiola said at a news conference on Monday after being asked how to stop Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. “This amount of quality, I don’t know what we should do to stop them, honestly.

“They’re so good. This amount of talent all together, to control it is so difficult.”

Lionel Messi’s PSG team will now set their sights on the Champions League trophy after the legend was final able to notch his first goal with his new club.
