Keyontae Johnson Releases Video Thanking Fans After Collapsing On The Court During Game

Florida star Keyontae Johnson released a video on social media thanking people for their support after he suddenly collapsed to the floor during a game with Florida State last weekend.

Keyontae Johnson starts out the video by thanking god and thanking fans for their thoughts and prayers while he was hospitalized after his collapse. Johnson then thanks all the medical personnel that have been helping him during his recovery, and gives a shout out to the Florida Gators community.

Johnson collapsed during a game last Saturday, and was reportedly put into a medical coma at one point. Johnson’s teammates were visibly distraught after seeing their teammate collapse, and Florida has canceled their remaining non-conference games to give their team a breather.

Johnson is far-and-away Florida’s most valuable player on the court. In his first few games, Johnson was averaging 16 points. Johnson was a favorite to win SEC player of the year. Now, the focus will remain on his health.

It was so good to see Keyontae Johnson in good spirits, and having the ability to give a shout out on his Twitter. I’m sure he has a long recovery ahead, and we’ll all be pulling for him.

Prayers up for Keyontae Johnson. Hopefully we can see him on the floor again sometime in the future.
