All Signs Point To LSU Turning To Joe Brady To Replace Coach O

Could a Joe Brady-LSU reunion be in the works?

According to a couple of different reports, LSU is honing in on the Panthers OC to be their next head football coach. Brady was obviously the passing game coordinator for the record-breaking offensive year in 2019.

Despite the obvious connection to LSU, Joe Brady downplayed the possibility of leaving the Panthers when speaking to reporters earlier in the week.

“I didn’t really have any thoughts on it,” Brady said via PFT. “Unfortunately for us, we had just come off of a loss when all that stuff came out, so there was a lot more things on my mind. I don’t have many thoughts on that. I had a great experience my time there, but I was way more concerned with our performance this past Sunday and finding ways to improve it this Sunday.

“All those things from a coaching perspective are things I don’t really pay a lot of attention to. It’s one of those things that after the season I think about those things, but right now I have to do a better job at being the offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers and that’s all I’m really concerned about right now.”

Joe Brady’s Panthers offensive has sputtered in recent weeks. And it’s beginning to look like Sam Darnold will not be a long term fix for the team. While fans have been calling for Brady to relinquish his play-calling duties, coach Matt Rhule said that the OC will remain in the role as of now.

If LSU came calling, I feel like there’s a good chance that Brady would at least engage in conversation.
